Once students submit, the assignment detail view helps you track progress and grade efficiently β€” with AI doing the first pass when you allow it.

The review workflow is designed to save time β€” AI drafts feedback first, and you approve or edit before students see anything.

Track submissions

The Students overview gives you a quick snapshot of who has submitted, who is waiting, and overall scores.

Open an assignment to see the Students overview:

  • Each row shows a student's status, attempts, and score.
  • Statuses include Assigned, Submitted, AI reviewed, Awaiting teacher, and Reviewed.
  • Search students and Export CSV for your records.

Review a quiz submission

Open any student's row to see their answers alongside the AI's suggested grade and feedback.

  1. Click a student's row to open the review panel.
  2. See their answers next to the AI suggestion (AI grade and feedback).
  3. For each question, set the mark (correct / partial / incorrect) and edit the feedback students will see.
  4. Click Use AI suggestion to accept the AI's draft, or write your own.
  5. Choose Confirm review β€” or Confirm & next student to keep moving.

Whiteboard and diagram answers show the student's drawing or labelled diagram in the review panel.

Review speaking or book report

Speaking and book report use a rubric report, not per-question marks:

  1. Open the student's submission.
  2. For speaking: play the audio, read the transcript, and review the AI report (fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, content).
  3. For book report: read the essay or conversation transcript and the AI report (plot, characters, themes, reflection).
  4. Edit scores, narrative feedback, strengths, and gaps as needed.
  5. Confirm / release according to the assignment's review mode.

There is no Use AI suggestion per-question control on these types β€” you edit the rubric report directly.

AI grading controls

If AI grading fails or is still running, you can retry or wait before releasing results.

  • If AI grading is still running, you'll see its status; use Retry AI if it fails.
  • Depending on the review mode (AI only, AI then teacher, Teacher only), results either release automatically after AI review or wait for your approval.

Feedback stays hidden from students until you confirm the review (or the assignment auto-releases). This lets you check the AI's work first.
