What are Apps?

Build interactive web apps with AI — fraction games, science simulators, quizzes, and more — then deploy, share, and remix them.

Apps

Apps are small interactive web experiences (HTML/CSS/JS) you create inside Zense AI. Students can play them in the browser; teachers can deploy a public link, publish to a school gallery, or share a duplicate code for colleagues to import.

Apps sit alongside Chat, Tutors, and Tools — they are ideal when you want a repeatable activity students open and use, not just a one-off conversation.

Where to find Apps

  • Sidebar → Apps — browse, create, import, and manage your apps.
  • Home — quick-action card jumps straight to Apps.
  • Chat — turn on the APP button in the composer to build with AI (see Apps in Chat).
  • Public link — deployed apps open at a shareable URL (no login required to play).

Three galleries

The Apps directory has three scope tabs:

TabWhat you see
My AppsApps you created or imported
My SchoolApps published to your school gallery
PublicCommunity apps (after admin approval for public publish)

Filter by subject, grade level, or search by name. Switch grid or list view.

App statuses

StatusMeaning
DraftCode saved, not deployed yet
DeployedLive public link is active
Undeployed changesYou edited code after last deploy — redeploy to update the link
Pending approvalSubmitted to the public gallery — waiting for school admin
PublishedLive in a school or public gallery

Each app can have a linked chat — the conversation where Chat helped you build or edit it.

Who can use Apps

  • Teachers and students can create, import, and play apps (school policies may limit publishing).
  • School admins review public publish requests under School Management → Apps (see School Apps moderation).
Continue with Create & deploy an app, Browse, share & import, or Apps in Chat.
