Chat can remember important facts about you — like the subjects you teach, your grade level, or how you like answers formatted — and use them in future chats.

Memories are separate from a single conversation's context — they persist until you delete them.

How memory works

• Chat automatically notes useful details from your conversations.

• You can also add memories manually so Chat always knows key context.

• Memories apply across all your chats, not just one conversation.

Manage your memories

1. Go to Settings → Memory.

2. Here you can:

   • Add Memory — type something you want Chat to remember (for example, "I teach Grade 9 Biology and prefer answers in point form").

   • Edit or Delete any existing memory.

   • Search and sort memories (newest or oldest first).

Each memory can be up to 5,000 characters. Keep them short and specific for the best results.

Good things to remember

• The subjects and grade levels you work with

• Your preferred response language or format

• Recurring context (your school, class names, ongoing projects)

Want a clean slate? Delete any memory at any time — it can't be undone, but Chat will simply stop using that detail.
