After registering, Zense AI may guide you through a short setup wizard at /setup so your account is ready to use. You can update most of these details later in Settings.

The wizard starts with a join code. The code you enter chooses the teacher or student branch automatically — there is no separate role-picker step. Skip the code to continue as an individual account.

School teacher setup

1. Join code — enter the school's teacher 8-character code.
2. Confirm school — verify the school name is correct.
3. Subjects — pick the subjects you teach (you can change these later).
4. Profile picture — upload an image or skip.

School student setup

1. Join code — enter the school's student 8-character code.
2. Confirm school — verify the school name is correct.
3. Class details — enter Class and Class Number (required); Student Number is optional.
4. Profile picture — upload an image or skip.

Individual (no school) setup

1. On the code step, choose "I don't have a code".
2. Occupation — student, teacher, professor, developer, researcher, parent, or other.
3. How you heard about us — optional feedback for the team.
4. Profile picture — upload an image or skip, then finish on the "You're all set!" screen.

You can join a school later from the profile menu (sidebar avatar → Join school). Admins are promoted from teachers in School Management — there is no admin join code. See Join your school.
